Malware writers use the launch of new Tatu album to recruit more
PCs to botnet and harvest information

Malware writers are becoming
increasingly attuned to the commercial world, as the spamming of a
Trojan about Russian faux lesbian band Tatu shows.

The emails began circulating last night and have been heavily spammed to
coincide with the band releasing a ‘best of’ album. The email includes a
zipped file containing pictures of the band but also include a Trojan
program called Banito that allows remote code execution and includes a
keylogger.

Portland State’s Branford P. Millar library is participating in the national September Project throughout this month in order to commemorate the events of the 2001 September 11 World Trade Center attacks.

As a part of the September Project, a group that aids libraries in presenting displays, holding activities, and hosting forums and speakers that center on themes of freedom and citizenship, the Millar Library will also host the annual American Library Association’s (ALA) Banned Books Week.

Green Day, U2 Take Historic Collabo One Step Further By Re-Enacting Beatles’ Abbey Road LP Cover

It’s been more than a year since the New Orleans Saints played a game in the Louisiana Superdome, their home for nearly 30 NFL seasons.
After Hurricane Katrina , the team was forced to play all its games on the road, while the stadium served as an impromptu — and controversial — camp for displaced residents. And so on Monday, when the Saints reopen the dome with a game against the Atlanta Falcons, they’ll receive a proper (and much deserved) homecoming tribute via two of the biggest rock bands on the planet.

Dr. Dre has produced several tracks for Snoop Dogg’s upcoming album, “The Blue Carpet Treatment,” due Nov. 21 via Doggystyle/Geffen. The new songs, which include “Imagine,” will be the duo’s first collaborative effort in roughly five years.
